I note I have a pyfa.exe.log text file but it was last updated 23/07/2012, while I use PyFA almost daily and often it exits with a permission error. To both people getting this, can you try renaming your .pyfa folder in your home dir and see if that fixes it ? (your fits are stored in there, make sure to not remove it!!)
Same error. |

That didn't change the error. I did find that Win7 doesn't like you naming things .pyfa via the GUI, but is fine with it in the command line.
Same. I was in IRC yesterday working with you some. If you need me for any more tests let me know and I can hop in IRC. |

Follow up. I tried installing 1.1.9 on a clean (rebuilt last week) windows 7 32 bit machine and I get the same crash error. |

Just checking in. Ever since the latest update I still find that I cannot install PYFA on any of my 64bit window 7 machines. It crashes during install. If you need any data/info for troubleshooting feel free to contact me. I had to revert to EFT (HATE IT) |

Effectively skipping the installer (it doesn't do anything besides dumping the files where you tell it to anyway). If thats not an option, hop onto our irc channel (#evefit on coldfront) and I'll help out when I'm home (can't get on IRC from work)
I had before without success. just tried it now again and it works now. Guess at this point it's just the installer. Thanks. |

Based on earlier posts it seems like evefit shares the same server as Eve-kill, which has been down more than up since their server crash a couple of weeks ago. |

wasn't sure if this was asked before (couldn't find it) so I apologize if I just missed it.
How can I move PYFA to a new computer? I recently setup PYFA on my fun new Windows 8 pro tablet. I was easily able to export all of my fits and move them over via the backup fits and then import.
But what about all of my other data. I have a large number of characters, and damage profiles setup. I really dont want to have to manually re-key all of that data again. |

I'm doing the final tweaks on the build now. It will be tested and released tomorrow, along with an update of the database on the website itself. I apologize for the slow update, first (and hopefully last) time it happens.
Oh gee. A little late on a free fitting tool that you volunteer your time to keep updated. I guess we will let it slide this time.
Seriously though. Thanks for your dedication to it. Best fitting tool ever. |

Interesting "bug" I may have noticed with 1.1.13b
I was trying to put together a proteus build. I literally cannot pick the Nanobot injector defensive subsystem. I can double click on any others and they will load into the fit, but not the Nanobot injector. Additionally, any fits I have that already use that subsystem will not load if I select them. |

Heinrich Hoss wrote:Noticed a bug: if you project a Cataclysmic variable onto a ship, and then project reps on it, the reps will be unaffected. You can only project something onto someone in the same system so all wormhole effects should affect other projections, like reps.
this works if you apply the system effect to the ship applying the reps. I would say that is working as intended since the ship applying the RR is the one with the active module. The ship receiving the reps is passively getting reps. |
